BACKGROUND

Jeff Bradley has been a Hilton Head Island resident since 1979 and has built a successful career as a financial advisor with a broad range of community service in several areas related to supporting educational and vocational opportunities for young people and creating local initiatives to improve the overall quality of life on Hilton Head Island and Daufuskie Island.

Bradley’s business acumen and commitment to community service laid a strong foundation for becoming one of the most accomplished members of the current South Carolina House of Representatives.

PROMINENCE IN SC HOUSE

Bradley has been serving the 123d District for five two-year terms since being first elected in 2014. As a prominent member of the Republican Party, Bradley has been appointed to several leadership roles in the House.  He is Chairman of the House Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee and Vice Chairman of the House Education and Public Works Committee with specific oversight of K-12 programs. His legislative efforts have mostly emphasized education, regulatory reform, and public infrastructure matters.  In 2023, he was also appointed to the newly formed special committee for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Security, and Cybercrime – with oversight responsibilities for integrating AI technologies into various aspects of government operations plus crafting policies that address ethical concerns and data privacy.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Over the years Bradley’s commitment to his community extends well beyond his legislative duties.  He was the founder of GED Camp Hilton Head, a program aimed at helping residents of all ages obtain their General Education Development (GED) certificates.  Additionally, he has served on the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of the Low Country, the Technical College of the Low Country Foundation plus the Cypress Retirement Community. His leadership in these organizations reflects his dedication to not only improving educational opportunities but also supporting other important community initiatives.

PERSONAL

Jeff met his wife Anne in high school and they were married following his college graduation from the University of North Alabama. They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They are parents of three grown children. Their two sons are graduates of the US Military Academy at West Point, and their daughter graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in business management. All three graduated locally from Hilton Head Island High School.
